Domino's Pizza to Host Aureliano Salgado

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - June 3, 2002 - Television personality Aureliano Salgado will make personal appearances during the next two weeks at Domino's Pizza stores in the Chicago area.  Salgado is a popular fixture on WGBO-TV in Chicago, which features programming from Univision, a nationwide Spanish-language television network.

The first two appearances will take place at the end of this week.  Salgado will be at the Domino's Pizza store in Berwyn, located at 6613 West Cermak Road, this Thursday, June 6, 2002 from 6 – 8pm.  He will also visit the Waukegan Domino's Pizza store at 2207 Grand Avenue from 6 – 8 pm on Friday, June 7, 2002.

"Domino's Pizza is delighted to welcome Aureliano Salgado to our store," said Steve Chiodo, franchisee of Domino's Pizza stores in Waukegan and Gurnee.  "We know our customers will enjoy meeting Aureliano in person.  We're very fortunate to have such a popular TV personality visit our store, especially on a Thursday and Friday evening."

Salgado is the spokesperson for De Fiesta, a special two-minute segment that airs every Friday night in the 10:00 pm newscast on Univision.  Domino's Pizza is the exclusive sponsor of De Fiesta, a program featuring "everything entertainment-related" that's going on in and around Chicago for the upcoming weekend.

Domino's Pizza will provide free giveaways, including Domino's T-shirts, soccer balls and goodie bags.  In addition, Salgado and other WGBO television staff will be on hand, distributing free station prizes.

Salgado is scheduled to make his final appearances at Domino's Pizza stores next week.  On Thursday, June 13, 2002 from 6 – 8pm, Salgado will be at the East Dundee Domino's Pizza store located at 541 Dundee Avenue.  Salgado will also appear at the 4608 West Fullerton Avenue Domino's Pizza store on Friday, June 14, 2002 from 6 – 8pm.

Domino's Pizza is celebrating Salgado's tour with a special Meal Deal, a large one-topping pizza and an order of 10-piece Buffalo wings, topped off with a free order of cheesy bread, all for just $14.99 plus tax.
